Womb: Where I Come From
WOMB: WHERE I CAME FROM
WOMB: WHERE I CAME FROM?
An embodied, experiential creative process for women
An invitation to explore where you came from—and what may still be living within you now.
WOMB is not simply an exploration of your birth story.
It is an opportunity to become curious about the emotional atmosphere surrounding your beginnings, your relationship with your mother, the generational threads within your family and the early shaping that may continue to influence how you experience yourself and your life today.
You will be guided through a series of videos, creative invitations, journalling and reflection.
You do not need to remember being in the womb.
You will not be asked to recover memories, reach a particular conclusion or decide in advance what your beginnings must have been like.
We begin exactly where you are and allow the process to unfold from there.
HOW WOMB WORKS
WOMB is a self-paced online course.
You will receive access to the complete course from 1 January until 31 December 2027.
You can move through the material slowly, pause when you need to and return to it throughout the year.
Alongside your year’s access to the course, you will also receive twelve weeks of personal support from me within our private WOMB group.
Course - Years access begins:
1 Jan 2027-1 Jan 2028
Supported group begins:
1 January 2027
ends:
28 March 2027
During those twelve weeks, I will be present regularly in the group, responding personally to what you share and accompanying what emerges as you move through the process.
There are no live sessions.
There are no weekly deadlines.
There is no pressure to keep up or to share anything you would rather keep private.
You may post photographs of your work, share what you are noticing, ask questions or talk about what is happening for you.
You may also choose to participate quietly.
My presence in the group will be regular and personal, but it will not be continuous or on demand. There is no expectation that you post every day or that you complete the process within the twelve supported weeks.
After the supported group ends, you will continue to have access to all the WOMB videos and course materials until 31 December 2027.
WHAT IS WOMB: WHERE I CAME FROM?
WOMB begins with a simple but unusual invitation:
To explore the womb you came from.
We do this intuitively.
Through image, colour, texture, words, sensation and Body Wisdom, we create the conditions in which something may begin to emerge.
Sometimes the womb a woman creates feels safe, warm and protected.
Sometimes it feels precarious, uncertain, lonely or overwhelmed.
Sometimes women begin to notice something of the emotional atmosphere surrounding their beginnings.
Perhaps their mother felt frightened, isolated, unsupported, heartbroken, exhausted, young or alone.
These are not presented as recovered memories or historical facts.
They are experiences, images, sensations and possibilities arising through the creative process. You remain the authority on what they mean to you—if they need to mean anything at all.
Something particularly interesting can happen when a woman begins responding to what she has created.
One woman stitched around her womb because something in her sensed fragility and wanted to strengthen the environment.
Another surrounded herself with soft sheep’s wool.
Other women have found themselves creating warmth, colour, containment, protection or beauty.
Nobody told them what to do.
Their responses emerged through their own hands, their own intuition and their own knowing.
Gradually, a story may begin to appear.
Not only a story about where you came from, but a story about you.
Your sensitivity.
Your intelligence.
Your determination.
The ways you adapted.
The ways you protected yourself.
The ways you survived.
The self who was already becoming.
The self who was already there.
WHAT WILL WE ACTUALLY DO?
You will move through guided video processes, creative exploration, journalling and reflection.
This is intuitive, mixed-media work.
You do not need to be an artist.
You do not need to know how to draw or paint.
You do not need expensive materials.
You may find yourself using paper, pens, collage, paint, fabric, thread, found objects or whatever your hands are drawn towards.
Sometimes you may write.
Sometimes you may paint.
Sometimes you may stitch, tear paper, make marks or sit quietly and notice.
The creative work is not about producing something beautiful.
It is another way of listening.
A colour may keep returning.
A symbol may appear unexpectedly.
Something may change shape.
An image may begin telling a story that words alone have not yet reached.
In the videos, I am not standing outside the process and teaching at you.
I work alongside you.
I sense, notice, wonder and create too.
MY STAR APPROACH
WOMB is held through my STAR Approach:
Story. Truth. Awareness. Reorganisation.
We become curious about the stories we carry.
We make room for what feels true now.
We deepen our awareness of what has shaped us.
And sometimes, through being met and understood differently, something begins to reorganise from within.
This is not about fixing you.
It is not about forcing change or deciding what your experience means.
It is about creating enough room for you to meet yourself differently.
THE WAY I WORK
I bring psychological depth, creativity, curiosity, care, challenge, honesty, humour and deep respect for your authority over your own experience.
I may notice something.
I may wonder alongside you.
I may offer a thought, question or reflection.
If something I offer resonates, you can keep it close.
If it does not, you can leave it.
You do not need to agree with me to belong here.
You will not be expected to abandon your own knowing in order to grow.
I will not interpret your artwork for you.
I will not tell you what an image, colour, sensation or symbol means.
Your process belongs to you.
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU WILL DISCOVER
Every woman’s experience of WOMB is different.
You may understand something differently about where you came from.
You may recognise ways you learned to adapt, protect yourself, care for others or keep going.
You may discover tenderness where you expected pain.
You may see something differently about your mother without being asked to forgive, excuse or minimise anything.
You may recognise strengths within yourself that you had never previously understood.
Or your process may take you somewhere neither of us could have predicted.
There is no promised outcome.
There is an opportunity to become curious about your story and discover what emerges when you listen to yourself differently.
